Powerful Theatre in an Intimate Setting
Island Theatre at the Library is a series of dramatic, staged readings presented in the intimate community meeting room at the Bainbridge Public Library. Every other month, we bring compelling plays to life in a setting where you can see every expression, hear every nuance, and feel every emotion.
These are not full productions with costumes and sets—they're staged readings, where talented local actors bring scripts to life through performance, minimal staging, and your imagination. The result is raw, immediate theatre that puts the focus squarely on the words and the performances.

A bittersweet fable about a woman whose perfect Christmas is shattered when her husband informs her he's hired a hitman to kill her. Rachel scrambles out the window into the snowy night, beginning a surreal adventure where nothing is as it seems.
Directed by Pete Benson, featuring Catherine Conoley, Ed Courtway, Sabrina Fiander, Richard Gustafson, and Kate Henderson.
"A beguiling oddball of a comedy about a serenely flaky Alice, who silently absorbs the bruises of loss and suffering as she careens through a surreal, nightmarish Wonderland." — Variety
